The Hub — A Look Behind the Scenes (Vol.10)

Hello everyone,

This tenth volume of our journal marks a major turning point for us. The past two years have been intense, rich in learning and technical challenges. Today, this "tunnel" phase is coming to an end: production is starting for two of our major projects, and that changes everything.

Why is this excellent news for you? Because by freeing up the time we previously dedicated to pure development, we are opening a door we’ve been eager to walk through: a deeper and more direct relationship with our community.

FLYOS Studio no longer wants to just create for you, but with you. We are now going to dedicate this renewed energy to communicating more, sharing our behind-the-scenes processes, and actively involving you in preparing the future of the studio. This journal is not just a list of updates; it is an invitation to take your place alongside us as we build the next chapter of the adventure.

Thank you for being the pillars of our evolution.

CHAPTERS — The Final Polish — Finalizing Files & Logistics

We are now in the final stages of translation and validation with our manufacturer as we approach the production launch. These checks cover all content, including the Definitive Edition, the Epilogue expansion, and all localized versions (FR, EN, DE, ES).

Production Schedule & Verifications: The big moment is near: production is officially scheduled to begin at the end of May. In the coming days, an email will be sent to all backers for a final, crucial verification. We will ask you to validate:

  1. Your game's language.
  2. Your shipping address.

We invite you to get a head start and double-check this information on your respective accounts now. If you can't find your pledge or order number, don't panic! Simply send us a message at info@flyosgames.com and our team will help you get everything sorted. Make sure everything is up to date to avoid any delays during shipping!

Translation Status: The localization work is colossal, but we are nearing the finish line. The French, English, German, and Spanish versions are undergoing final review. We are fine-tuning every detail to ensure total immersion and that the World of Darkness terminology is respected with the utmost rigor.

Mobile App: The app is progressing in parallel. We are currently integrating the latest fixes and new content related to the Definitive Edition. A major app update will be deployed to coincide with the game’s delivery, offering an even smoother interface.

After-Sales Service & Errata Stickers:

  • 1st Edition Errata Stickers: It's official—production of the sticker sheets (in all 4 languages) is already complete! We took the time to rigorously test them in-house, and the result is impeccable: they fit perfectly, and the quality is top-notch. We can’t wait for you to update your booklets with this high-precision material.
  • Metal Dice: For backers affected by the dice error, these will be produced simultaneously with the Definitive Edition. They will be sent directly with the backers' games. For specific dates, please refer to the communications dedicated to the Vampire production schedule.

Logistics: The arrival of Naïl as Logistics Coordinator at FLYOS allows us to explore more agile shipping solutions. His goal is clear: optimize the flow so that these corrective elements and your games reach you as quickly as possible and in the best conditions.

Rayman — Green Light — Mass Production

This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for! After months of polishing, the big leap is imminent: mass production of Rayman: The Board Game will officially launch on May 6th.

Production Schedule: Once the machines start on May 6th, we anticipate approximately 3 months of production. To be cautious and guarantee flawless quality control for every box, we are projecting a total of 14 weeks for finalization.

Action Required — Gamefound Reminder: The final closing of the Pledge Manager is imminent. Please check your shipping information on Gamefound one last time. A final reminder email will be sent, but don’t wait until the last minute!

Retail & Global Availability: Rayman's success extends beyond crowdfunding! We are proud to announce that the game will be widely available in stores thanks to our international distribution partners:

  • USA: Maestro Media
  • Canada : Asmodee Canada
  • Poland: Red Square Games
  • Australia: Asmodee Australia
  • Germany: BNW Distribution
  • UK: Zatu Games

Online Store: For those who missed the campaign and wish to purchase a copy, it will very soon be possible to order one directly from the FLYOS website.

RETALIATION — Balancing & Late Pledge News

Enthusiasm for Retaliation remains high, and your many messages confirm that the anticipation is real. The team is currently working at full speed. Every step brings us closer to project completion, and we are giving our all to improve every aspect.

  • Late Pledge: Many of you have asked us to reopen the pledge manager. We have heard you and decided to reopen it soon for anyone wishing to pre-order their copy.

Gameplay, Balancing, Narrative & Art: Since the last update, we have completed the revision of more than 10 scenarios. Today, we have reached scenario #26—the final act of the main campaign. The design team has already completed combat balancing for half of the "Aftermaths," so we are moving at a very good pace. On the narrative side, our two writers are working hard to catch up with the designers and polish the text. Our internal playtests continue to reveal the quality of the scenarios and the intensity of the combat. Visually, we are still receiving the final NPCs and illustrations; here is a small sample recently received.

Studio Life: Evolution & Commitment

At FLYOS, we continue to evolve the studio to better support the projects growing with us. With everything currently underway, it became essential to better structure certain functions to maintain solid and responsive oversight.

With this in mind, we decided to group everything related to community and logistics to create a more direct link between player support and shipping management. Naïl, who recently joined us, is currently leading a complete overhaul of these processes—whether on the logistical, administrative, or commercial side.

The idea is simple: ensure that the quality we put into our games is also reflected in how we support you and how the products arrive in your hands. We are laying a more solid foundation for the future, especially with the important releases ahead. If you need anything, the support team is always there: info@flyosgames.com. And a huge thank you to our Discord moderators, who are on the front lines every day doing invaluable work to maintain this bond with you.

What Comes Next

As our projects enter the printing and finalization phase, we are also preparing a transition in how you interact with our universes. Our online presence will transform into a unique and centralized ecosystem.

  • A Unique Hub for All Our Games: No more dispersion! We are working on a global platform that will serve as a convergence point for all our games. Eventually, the websites for each of our games will redirect to this Central Hub. Whether you are a fan of Vampire, Rayman, or Retaliation, you will find the entire FLYOS universe under one banner.
  • The Player Portal: One of the greatest advances of this new site will be the centralization of resources. We are creating a dedicated space where every player can find, in one click, all the material needed to optimize their sessions:
    • PDF Resources: Up-to-date rulebooks, character sheets, and cheat sheets.
    • Multimedia Content: Tutorial videos and gameplay presentations.
    • FAQ & Errata: Direct access to the latest technical validations for each game.
  • Integrated Commercial Platform: The new site will not just be a showcase, but a true ordering platform. It will now be possible to purchase our games, expansions, and accessories directly from this official store. This direct channel will allow us to better manage inventory and offer you a smoother, more responsive sales service.

Teaser: A New Visual Era? This new site is only the tip of the iceberg. Behind the scenes, our team is exploring a new visual identity with renewed ambition. Is it simply a sign of an evolution in our artistic direction? Or the first clue of a still-secret project?

The answer is coming very soon.

Thank you for your support and attention. We’ll see you very soon with a new update!

Happy gaming,

The FLYOS Team

It’s officially taken longer for Flyos to complete Chapters than the time frame of the release between 20 Anniversary and V5.
Gary Paitre
A board game with tons of cards, booklets, minis, etc, isn’t the same framework as a TTRPG book. But still, yes, we took a long time to craft CHAPTERS in its best possible shape. We just hope players will enjoy their experience.
Edgar Joyner
Looking forward to the Retaliation late pledge. Hoping it is coming soon this month.
Kezzzza
Can I ask why is mass production step taking longer now?
volume 9 you indicated 2months for mass production and in volume 10 you have indicated 3months.
Gary Paitre
We rely on the factory’s estimates, and once they have the quantities and the actual factors, timeframes vary a little.
Trent
Aside from another disappointing shipping delay, this was a rather nice update for the Rayman board game (and everything else, of course)! I’m not sure if the Rayman figures shown here are their final appearances, but they look pretty solid at this stage (even if Globolk’s skin still looks off). Who knows; if I’m lucky, maybe I’ll get to use them with my own hands this year!
On another note, I’ve been watching your store page’s updates over the past few days. The place looks nice so far! However, today I saw the deluxe tokens and large scale figures for the Rayman board game on the store, both of which are items that were stated to be exclusive to the campaign. I’m glad that it appears they’re going to be available post-campaign for those who missed out on it, but unless the prices shown are placeholders, I couldn’t help but notice that they’re cheaper on the website than they were during the campaign. Don’t hear me wrong, I don’t want people to have to pay more, but I could see others thinking it a little slimy to make us backers pay more for stuff that was going to retail.
Anyway, keep up the great work guys!
Nail Beloufi
Hi Trent! Thanks for your honest feedback and for keeping a close watch on the store’s progress.
To clarify the figures: Yes, what you see here is the final appearance. We’ve worked very closely with the licensor to ensure every detail captures the soul of the game. Regarding Globox, his ‘complexion’ can be tricky depending on the lighting of the photo, but we promise he looks stunning in person and is ready to jump onto your table!
On the store prices: Please don’t worry, those are strictly placeholders while we build the backend. Our golden rule is that backers always get the best deal. Once the store is officially live, the prices will reflect the retail value (MSRP), which will be higher than what you paid during the campaign.
We’re doing everything we can to shrink that wait time and get Rayman to your door. Thanks for the support!
Trent
Thanks for the response!
To clarify, I think Globox looks great; it’s Globolk (the hairy one who’s sliding on his belly) that I’m inspecting. In the games and the first look you guys gave of him, his skin was always gray, but the image in this update has him as blue as Globox. If it’s not too late, I’d appreciate if you guys could correct this small error so that this hungry hero’s skin looks more gray and truer to his in-game appearance.
Honestly, this is more of a nitpick than a real issue, and the rest of the figures look fantastic considering their size, but it’s little details and inconsistencies like this that tend to catch my attention.
Alex
Hello i don’t understand if the stickers for Chapters are on the way to delivery now or they will be delivered in september ?
Gary Paitre
The stickers are already on their way to be delivered. Only the second print of CHAPTERS will be delivered in September.
Edgar
Looking forward to the pledge manager of the Retaliation campaign!
Magor
A packed update. Thank you for your continued commitment to the wonderful WoD universe.
Nail Beloufi
Thank you for the kind words, Magor! Our commitment to the World of Darkness is fueled by the passion of players like you. We are honored to be the stewards of these stories, and we’re working hard to make sure the final result is worthy of the lore. Stay tuned, there is much more to come!
