It’s a number that genuinely humbles us. But beyond the figure itself, what matters most is what it represents. Behind every wishlist is a player who chose to follow the project, believe in its vision, and invest a little bit of excitement in what we’re building.

Over the past few days, we’ve spent a lot of time reading your comments, reactions, theories, and discussions.
What has struck us most is not only the enthusiasm surrounding the game, but also the genuine passion many of you have for the World of Darkness and for narrative-driven RPGs. We’ve seen countless messages from players eager to return to a darker, more personal, and more atmospheric vision of Vampire: The Masquerade.
That excitement means a great deal to us. It also comes with a responsibility (hey, Spidey!).
Every message we read reinforces our commitment to making Eternal Whispers the best game it can possibly be. Your support motivates the entire team to keep pushing forward, refining every detail, and delivering an RPG worthy of the expectations surrounding both the license and the genre.
Why 100,000 Wishlists Matter
For those unfamiliar with game development, a wishlist is much more than a simple click. On Steam, wishlists are one of the strongest indicators of player interest before launch. They help determine a game’s visibility on the platform and influence how often it is recommended to new players through Steam’s discovery systems.
In practical terms, every wishlist helps Eternal Whispers reach a wider audience. If you’re looking for a simple way to support the project, adding the game to your wishlist remains one of the most impactful things you can do.
The Journey So Far
While the announcement may be recent, the project itself has been years in the making.
The story of Eternal Whispers began in Q1 2023, when we started exploring the possibility of creating a CRPG set in the World of Darkness.
After the success of Vampire: The Masquerade – CHAPTERS, we became increasingly interested in bringing that passion into a full-fledged video game experience. Not a direct adaptation, but a standalone story built from the ground up for the CRPG format.
When we first pitched the concept to the teams at Paradox Interactive, the response exceeded our expectations. The project was approved in under 48 hours, a clear sign that the vision resonated strongly with everyone involved. Energized by that early support, we immediately got to work and began developing the first playable vertical slice by the end of 2023.
In 2024, we brought that early version to GDC in search of publishing partners. It was a challenging process filled with meetings, revisions, presentations, and countless iterations. Like many indie projects, the road was not always straightforward.
Eventually, we found a partner in Kwalee, a team that immediately understood the project’s potential and shared our vision for what Eternal Whispers could become. After many months of discussions, revisions, negotiations, and collaborative development, the partnership became official, allowing production to move into a much more ambitious phase.
Since then, the teams at FLYOS and Kwalee have been working closely together to bring Eternal Whispers to life.
The Work Continues
Reaching 100,000 wishlists is an incredible milestone, but it is exactly that. A milestone. Not a finish line. There is still an enormous amount of work ahead of us. Writing, systems, art, narrative implementation, polish, testing, optimization, and countless other pieces are actively being developed every day.
The team remains fully focused on building the strongest possible version of Eternal Whispers. Over the coming months, we’ll continue sharing our progress through regular Development Diaries, both here on our journal and on the game’s Steam page.
