The LAB is a competitive card game for 3 to 6 players. In this wacky laboratory, face the most dangerous microorganisms there is. Earn 10 Cure points before your opponents and avoid succumbing to the various infections that will litter your expedition. A board game designed by Pr. Patrick Fillion and illustrated by Allan Ohr.
The Heart of the Game
AThe Lab is a competitive game designed by a Quebec microbiologist, making it a truly local creation from concept to completion. Every disease, microorganism and scientific concept featured in the game is inspired by real-world biology, carefully researched and grounded in authentic principles. While educational at its core, The Lab never loses sight of what makes board games great: fun. Through clever mechanics, meaningful player interaction and plenty of unexpected twists, the game transforms complex scientific concepts into an engaging experience.
A Doodle-Trash Style
We partnered with the incredibly talented German illustrator All Ohr, whose distinctive “doodle-trash” art style gives the game its unique personality. Packed with quirky details, expressive characters and playful visuals, his illustrations reward curiosity and invite players to constantly discover something new. Through countless discussions, sketches and iterations, All Ohr helped shape not only the look of The Lab, but also much of its charm, humor and identity, resulting in a world that feels vibrant and handcrafted.
